Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway

The famous Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway was built in 1888, this heritage cliff railway is the UK’s only water powered railway and the highest and steepest water powered railway in the world. This cliff railway and cafe family attraction open daily (Feb – Nov) for all ages and dogs are welcome too!

A newly opened community enterprise village shop and café within the picturesque village of Parracombe. We sell as much local produce as possible and are keen to support local farms that help to conserve and look after the Exmoor landscape.
We have knowledgeable helpful staff and volunteers and look forward to meeting you.

Withypool Village Shop & Tea Room

Withypool Tearoom is found in the centre of this picturesque village, opposite the local olde worlde shop and yards from the stone bridge that spans the River Barle. The shop has all the everyday essentials along with some great local produce and local information and gifts.

Porlock Bay Oysters

We are an award winning independent oyster farm situated in Porlock Weir’s historic harbour, an area with a proud tradition of oyster farming going back more than 100 years.

Porlock Bay, in the heart of the Exmoor National Park, is lucky enough to feature amongst only a small handful of sites around the UK’s extensive coastline to boast category A waters and the only site in England and Wales to have this top classification for pacific oysters. This is where our finest oysters thrive in semi oceanic conditions, filter feeding on fresh supplies of Atlantic plankton carried in on the tide and from where their outstanding clean, fresh flavour, so coveted by our discerning clientele, originates.

Exmoor Horn Wool

Exmoor Horn Wool is a micro company owned and run by the farmer members of the Exmoor Horn Sheep Breeders’ Society. Using the fleece of our local native breed sheep we make knitting wool, socks, pullovers and throws in the colours of our Exmoor landscape. Uniqueness and quality are our watchwords.

We are happy to supply goods by mail order, or you can meet us in person at Dunster Yarn Market on summer Sundays. Dates for 2023 are:- 28th May, 2nd July, 6th August, 3rd September, when there will also be shearing demonstrations.

The Lyn Valley Dog House

My name is Jacquie and I’m the dog mad owner behind Lynton and Lynmouth’s Dog Emporium. The Lyn Valley Dog House, has been a dream of mine since moving to this beautiful part of the world from Gloucestershire. Lynton and Lynmouth are situated in Exmoor, an idyllic dog walking haven, with some of the most stunning countryside in the UK. Our human visitors are well catered for with many pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops to choose from, so I wanted to create a place for dogs, with a wide range of natural treats, offering everything the visiting canine may want, as well as a few lovely souvenirs to take home (and eat later).

Being a dog owner myself (I have two grumpy old Jack Russell’s and a mad Springer called Mabel) I know how important it is to create a space for owners looking to buy a few special items that will enhance their dog’s lives, whilst giving them somewhere to meet fellow like-minded dog lovers. My shop provides this physical space and our lovely group of social media followers provides a similar community online. Please check our contact details below if you’d like to get involved. Nothing makes us happier than receiving pictures of our customers and their dogs!

We stock natural treats, alongside a dog deli, dog bakery and a dog ice cream parlor in the warmer months. There is also a specially collated range of dog toys, collars, leads, blankets and everything your dog could want. The majority of items we sell are natural, eco friendly and wherever possible, local.

Grown Up Marshmallows

Our gourmet, handmade marshmallows are naturally free from fat, egg, gluten and dairy products. Produced by artisans, our hand-cut marshmallows contain fresh fruit and/or only the best quality Fair-Trade chocolate. Unlike the taste and texture of the traditional marshmallow, the quality and natural ingredients in our gourmet mallows bring a unique taste experience to any special event be it wedding, soirée, dinner party or just a treat for you and those for whom you care.

Grown Up Marshmallows are handmade in small batches on Exmoor National Park with 100% natural ingredients and packaged in 100% recyclable, biodegradable, compostable material out of consideration for the planet.

Styles Farmhouse Ice Cream Ltd

Styles Farmhouse Ice Cream Ltd is your local, multi award winning, West Country ice cream producer/supplier, based just outside of Minehead, on the edge of Exmoor.

Styles Farmhouse Ice Cream was established by David and Sue Baker in 1988 and all of the ice creams and sorbets are still lovingly produced at Styles Farm in the picturesque Brendon Hills.

Passionate about their ice cream, David and Sue use whole fresh cow’s milk, which they collect from the herd of Jersey cows that graze at Sutton Barton Farm, Honiton, Devon. To this they add fresh West Country double and clotted cream and the very best natural flavours. The Jersey cow’s milk makes our ice cream so much creamier than the average.

Due to the current climate with delivery costs rising and trying to reduce food miles, we are concentrating a lot more on supplying local businesses, with direct delivery from ourselves, especially those based in Somerset, Devon, Dorset & surrounding areas, our strapline is “A taste of Exmoor”.

We currently supply many hotels, pubs, restaurants, schools, cafes, tourist attractions, village stores, delis, farm shops, caravan parks/campsites, golf clubs, wedding venues, cricket clubs, cinemas, theatres, tea rooms & businesses across Somerset, Devon, Dorset and Hampshire, whose customers love our delicious, premium ice cream.

We have seventeen flavours of dairy ice cream, four flavours of sorbet (suitable for vegans) & two flavours of vegan ice cream, plus Cool Dog, a vegan & lactose free Doggy Ice Cream.

All our ice cream is made on the farm & we can supply in 10L, 5L (Napoli), 4L & 2L tubs for catering/scooping, 125ml tubs (theatre tubs with wooden spoons in the lid) for theatres, cinemas, shops, clubhouses & bars etc, 500ml & 1Litre tubs for farm shops, delis & butchers etc. We also supply a full range of lollies such as Magnum’s, Cornetto’s, Calippo’s, Solero’s etc.
