Nomad Architecture was established with the goal of exploring the word ‘home’. Our home is Exmoor, its extraordinary landscapes and its surrounding villages and towns.

Good architecture comes from understanding the people and places that make our work possible. We think a home can only be fully understood by experiencing it mindfully and seeing how its occupants use and shape it to make it their own. By exploring these ideas, we learn what ‘home’ means to our clients.

We appreciate how our surroundings can greatly impact our well-being and enjoyment of a space. From the start of the design process, we prioritize people and strive to bring joy to the places we create. Whether it’s an old or new home, we want to help you discover its unique identity.

Molton Monthly Magazine

Molton Monthly Magazine is the quality, independent community news and business advertising publication established in 2007 to serve North Devon and Exmoor.

The award-winning 64 page magazine is an Exmoor National Park Partner and a North Devon Biosphere Business Partner, helping to promote sustainability and support local jobs and businesses to create a thriving rural economy and keep isolated communities connected. It focuses original local news, features, photos and what’s on listings, plus a comprehensive business advertising service and index.

It is printed on recyclable, carbon neutral paper using solar power as part of its commitment to sustainability. It won ‘South West Rural Enterprise Champion’ award in 2023, and was recognised by Age UK for continuing to support communities through the Covid pandemic.

More than 5,250 copies are delivered free, door to door, in the last week of each month to homes and businesses in North Molton, South Molton, Chulmleigh, Chittlehampton, East & West Buckland, Swimbridge, Bishops Nympton, Kings Nympton, Heddon, Alswear, Heasley Mill, Bish Mill, Clapworthy Mill, George & Queens Nympton. We also have pick up points around South Molton, Pathfields Business Park, Atherington, Umberleigh, Chawleigh, Chittlehamholt and select North Devon and Exmoor pubs.

Exmoor Magazine

Exmoor Magazine, established in 1997, is a rather special, locally-owned, locally-produced quarterly for all who love Exmoor, North Devon and the Quantocks.

It is a features-led, high-quality publication collected and loved by locals and visitors alike.

The magazine is a huge local advocate, networking and supporting all local businesses and community groups as well as being an asset to Exmoor National Park.

I am an illustrator and mural artist based in North Devon, having travelled extensively across the UK living in various National Parks – Lake District, Cairngorms, Snowdonia and Exmoor – for my inspiration.

My style focuses on illustrated maps, travel and wildlife including for holiday cottages, hotels and tourism websites and industries.

My clients include the National Trust, Visit Lynton & Lynmouth, The Bath Hotel in Lynmouth and various holiday cottages across Devon and Somerset.

Exmoor Horn Wool

Exmoor Horn Wool is a micro company owned and run by the farmer members of the Exmoor Horn Sheep Breeders’ Society. Using the fleece of our local native breed sheep we make knitting wool, socks, pullovers and throws in the colours of our Exmoor landscape. Uniqueness and quality are our watchwords.

We are happy to supply goods by mail order, or you can meet us in person at Dunster Yarn Market on summer Sundays. Dates for 2023 are:- 28th May, 2nd July, 6th August, 3rd September, when there will also be shearing demonstrations.
